Programme Faculty

Prof S Indu

Dean – Digital Education, Delhi Technological University

Prof. S. Indu holds B.Tech and M.Tech degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kerala and a PhD in Visual Sensor Networks from the University of Delhi. She joined Delhi College of Engineering (now DTU) in 1999 and currently serves as Dean (Digital Education) and Professor in the ECE Department. She has also held key leadership roles, including Vice Chancellor (Sept–Nov 2023), Dean of Student Welfare for six years, and Head of ECE for three years.

A prolific researcher in Computer Vision, Sensor Networks, and Image Processing, she has supervised 18 PhDs, guided 45 M.Tech theses, published 200+ papers, authored books, and completed major sponsored projects. With 3 patents and multiple prestigious awards, including DTUʼs Commendable Research Award for six consecutive years, she is recognized as an influential academic leader.

Prof Neeraj Sharma

Adjunct Professor, Delhi Technological University

Prof Neeraj Sharma is often referred to as the "Bheeshma Pitamah" of the Technology Based Executive Management Education. He holds a PhD degree in Management Sciences from IIT Delhi and a M Tech from IIT Kharagpur. He is the recipient of the Institute Silver Medal at IIT Kharagpur. Prof Sharma carries more than 30 years of corporate experience in senior positions with the marquee companies like Usha Martin, Tata Infotech, Hughes, NIIT, upGrad etc.

He has served as Director and Cofounder of myDiksha and the founding CEO of Prayogtvisha. He also holds more than 3 years of academic experience too. Prof Sharma has published papers in Indian and International Journals in addition to being the author of chapters in some reference books. He has been studying and teaching courses on Indian Knowledge Systems. He has also authored a book on Hindi poetry- Man Manthan.

Prof. R. K. Agrawal

School of Computer and System Sciences, JNU

Prof. R. K. Agrawal, a distinguished researcher and educator with 30+ years of teaching experience from JNU, 170+ invited national talks, and 200+ high-impact research publications in Machine Learning, Data Mining, Pattern Recognition, and Medical Imaging. As a prolific researcher, his expertise spans advanced topics such as fuzzy clustering, feature selection, deep learning for medical diagnosis, Alzheimerʼs and Parkinsonʼs disease imaging, BCI systems, and optimization algorithms.

He has published extensively in leading SCI/SCIE-indexed journals and supervised 17 awarded Ph.D. theses and several M.Tech dissertations, contributing significantly to research mentorship and capacity building. Administratively, he has served as Dean at both the School of Engineering and the School of Computer & Systems Sciences and currently leads Communication & Information Services at JNU.

Dr. Kavinder Singh

School of Computer and System Sciences, JNU

Dr. Kavinder Singh earned his B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, followed by an M.Tech in Information Systems and a PhD in Computer Vision from Delhi Technological University. He joined the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at DTU in 2020. With an h-index and i10-index of 11, his research spans Image and Video Processing, Pattern Recognition, Deep Learning, and Computer Vision.

He has published in leading peer-reviewed venues, including IEEE Transactions, Springer, and Elsevier. Dr. Singh received an ISRO research grant for vision-based pose estimation for satellite docking and is part of the National Supercomputing Mission, securing funding for academic programs. He has earned Research Excellence Awards (2022, 2024) and actively reviews for top-tier journals.

Dr Trasha Gupta

School of Computer and System Sciences, JNU

Dr. Trasha Guptaʼs academic and research philosophy rests on three powerful pillars—Inform, Inspire, and Instigate. As an Assistant Professor at Delhi Technological University since 2018, she brings over a decade of experience spanning academia and industry, including her tenure at the University of Delhi and Aricent Technologies. She holds strong academic credentials with postgraduate and graduate degrees from University of Delhi and IIIT-Delhi.

Her research explores cutting-edge domains such as machine learning, thermography-based healthcare diagnostics, image processing, and Machine Learning, resulting in numerous impactful publications. An active contributor to the academic community, she regularly participates in global conferences, delivers expertlectures, and leads workshops, fostering innovation and experiential learning for the next generation.
